Notre dernière réalisation e-commerce se nomme Les Bonbecs.

Sous forme d’abonnement, vous pouvez recevoir, tous les mois, une box de bonbons surprise. Vous pouvez souscrire à un abonnement limité (3, 6, 12 mois) ou optez pour un abonnement récurrent (sans engagement ). Vous pouvez même décider d’abonner un ami qui recevra sa boîte de bonbons. Les Bonbecs vous proposent une assortiment de 400 à 500g de bonbons artisanaux ou industriels sous une thématique différente chaque mois.

Pour ce projet nous avons travaillé avec Sad Studio pour le design et la charte graphique. Nous avons ensuite réalisé l’intégration web et développé l’interface de gestion sur mesure pour gérer les préparations et envoi de commande.

Payments made simple with Spacebox

We recently blogged about a cool e-business from Montreal aka Frank & Oak.

Today we’d like to do the same about Spacebox. Pitch is simple, have something to sell online (digital or classic goods), you can now collect money in minutes. No coding necessary. It even handles recurring payments.

Here is how it works. For the most savvy readers it relies on stripe to process payments. Stripe has really made an easy job for developers to integrate secure payments into an app. Spacebox just adds a gorgeous User Interface to manage it all (form, products, members…). At first, there was stripe which introduced an easy-to-use payment processor for programmers but Spacebox brought it to the mass since anyone can create a product and share a link with clients to complete payment.

Design is also stunning and minimalist so you can get started in no time. Drew Wilson blogged about the concept and how he made it happen in just 5 days. It’s worth a read. Design + Programming skills are key nowadays.

Gumroad is also making a nice job in case you’re looking for some options.

Notre site marketing, yafoy.com, fait peau neuve pour mieux refléter notre positionnement actuel, à savoir le développement d’applications web pour industries. Notre site est maintenant « responsive », c’est-à-dire que le contenu s’adapte à tout type d’appareil (ordinateur, tablette, iPad, téléphone, iPhone) de manière à le rendre lisible sur tout support.

Ceci est particulièrement important car les applications web que nous développons pour nos clients sont toutes mobiles. Nous travaillons en effet sur des applications de gestion d’inventaire , gestion de stock, d’entrepôt, de facturation mobile…pour lesquelles la mobilité est source d’économie, d’efficacité, et de gain de temps.

L’autre aspect c’est le message. Nous avons voulu indiquer dès le départ notre mission et nos services, ainsi qu’afficher nos réalisations en version plus grande. Pour agrémenter le tout , nous avons voulu offrir une expérience différente à chacun, c’est pourquoi la couleur de fond est aléatoire. Rafraichissez la page pour voir les différentes variations.

Enfin, nous utilisons le CMS Kirby comme plateforme. Kirby est un CMS sans base de données qui repose sur une architecture de fichiers tout simplement.

This is our Philosophy regarding usability on the web

Although this isn’t exactly ours it totally represents our thoughts. Do yourself a favour and read this post from Information Architects back in…2006 on usability, browser standards and why you should increase font size. Focus on content and readability. That’s it.

It is challenging every day to convince clients/partners/colleagues but it’s totally worth it: scrolling is OK, busy pages don’t look better, we’re not wasting white spacing we only put the essential information in front of your eyes, and so on.

Flower Inventory Management System

Yafoy has developed a cut flower inventory management system for flower wholesalers. It’s a web-based application (nothing to install) optimized for mobile devices that lets you:

Track sales

Direct Sales to florists through trucks
Sales from warehouse / shop

Track orders in the future
Purchases management based on orders and recurring purchases
Inventory, stock management through multiple storage locations
Create trash reports
Flower delivery and flower reception
This application can be translated to your language and handles worldwide taxes

It currently lets end users update the inventory right from a tablet device, but also lets sales people access the entire stock remotely and sell flowers right from their truck on the road still through iPad or other tablet device.

Here are a few early drafts for an upcoming application. All made on the iPad with help from the amazing application, Paper from FiftyThree.com

Can’t tell much more for now but it will include mobile payment just like in the Apple Store. Hope to get my hands on PayPal Here for quick integration otherwise will go with Moneris e-Select Plus.
