Introducing Timehub an invoicing solution for GitHub

As many of you we spend a good portion of our time on GitHub, the git-backed repository system. For those of you who have never heard about GitHub, check it out as they just passed the 3 millions users mark.

Timehub was born out of a personal need. Our collaborators need to submit time-based invoices. Coding time. Instead of going through the traditional invoicing cycle (how much time I spent?, what’s the rate?, when was the last invoice submitted?, I’m programmer how to send good-looking invoice…) we came up with this solution that relies on GitHub. Here is how it works.

Sign in with your GitHub account to get started. We will load your repositories and commits. You simply need to annotate commits message with the time you spend and we take care of the rest. From there, select which commits to include and we will generate the invoice for you. You can even send the invoice by email or download as PDF. Easy, isn’t it?

We support a variety of formats to add time to your commit.

Collect signature on the iPad

Currently working on a new web-based application involving mobility and invoicing, therefore requiring client’s approval on site. Using the jQuery plugin Signature pad from Thomas Bradley (Ottawa based as well) to draw signature on the iPad and RoR as backend.

Here is a preview. At this point user will hand over the iPad to the client so the intent is to focus on just one thing, getting the signature. This explains the use of modal window.

We’re building a web-based application to manage removal, quotes, invoices, trucks and supplies. See mockups in previous post.

Flower Inventory Management System

Yafoy has developed a cut flower inventory management system for flower wholesalers. It’s a web-based application (nothing to install) optimized for mobile devices that lets you:

  • Track sales
    • Direct Sales to florists through trucks
    • Sales from warehouse / shop
  • Track orders in the future
  • Purchases management based on orders and recurring purchases
  • Inventory, stock management through multiple storage locations
  • Create trash reports
  • Flower delivery and flower reception
  • This application can be translated to your language and handles worldwide taxes

It currently lets end users update the inventory right from a tablet device, but also lets sales people access the entire stock remotely and sell flowers right from their truck on the road still through iPad or other tablet device.

Productivity tool for Consultants and Freelancers

Here is what keeps us busy these days: making our life simpler. How, by developing a simple but productive tool to track time, send invoices, manage projects and record payments. We’re currently polishing the invoicing piece that should be ready in a couple of weeks. Projectlog is a web-based application dedicated to people who want to stay on top of their business and simply access key information like (When is my invoice due? How much budget did I burn? Did I receive payment for this invoice? How many days left on this contract? Where is my timesheet?…).
